Our club has a proud history of developing and supporting golf since Melbourne’s earliest days. Formally established in 1896, and then known as the Essendon Golf Club, the course moved to Glenroy over 110 years ago. During this time, the course has evolved to become a challenging, premium golf destination.

The Northern Golf Club Junior Program exists to promote the enjoyment of golf and provide opportunities for our young people to develop golf skills in a friendly and structured environment.

Yes. Northern Golf Club currently has a joining fee of $4,000 for Full Membership categories.
Membership demand at Northern Golf Club remains strong. A waitlist applies for Full Membership categories, and applications are progressed as vacancies become available. Availability is influenced by overall demand for golf, as well as changing playing patterns and usage habits of existing members.
Yes. In some circumstances, applicants on the waitlist may be able to play on a casual green fee basis, subject to availability and Club conditions.

Yes. Members may introduce guests in accordance with Club guest policies and tee time availability.
Yes. Northern Golf Club maintains a dress standard both on course and within clubhouse areas. Members and guests are expected to comply with the Club’s dress regulations at all times.

Yes. Members have access to five PGA Professionals and a range of coaching programs and practice facilities.
